fittings.
The "traditional" proposals are based on the use of fittings that generally need a shaped concreting because the thickness of the pieces is frequently different. In this case the advantage of the fittings cheaper prices is balanced by the more expensive costs due to the necessity of properly shaping the concrete, so as to both create waterproofing and install fittings.
More technical and complete solutions are achievable with the use of the fittings belonging to the Trim-Box system which offer, for the Finnish pool border type, a constant thickness and a perfect modularity of all the pieces. Concreting and waterproofing are made easier by the simple and linear shapes of the pool structure which has no cavities and/or no protrusions. All Trim-Box pieces made for this type of pool border, either in front of or at the back of the grating, incorporate a ceramic grating support. This provides a ceramic "bed" for the grating which runs along the pool border and grants both hygiene and easy cleaning. The scum channel and consequently also the grating, can thus be placed behind any of these pieces. Some pieces can create a rounded step in order to prevent water from washing the pool deck.
