PRIVATE POOLS SYSTEMS
In private pools water is generally recovered through skimmers located on one or more tank-walls. This means that the water level is positioned at approx 10/20 cm under the pool deck and the concept of the pool border has to be different from those recovering water by overflow. The main technical feature that borders of pools recovering water through skimmers have to perform is to avoid that any water enters into the pool tank from the pool deck.
For pools recovering water through skimmers the proposals of Padana Piscine consist, on one side, of the new item named "Margella" (item 9600) made of porcelain stoneware both glazed and unglazed that allows the cladding of pool tank with ceramic tiles, mosaic and liners:
and, on the other side, of the Trim-Box piece (item 6050) which is very effective from a practical point of view:
In case protruding elements around the pool are not desired, there is the possibility to create a nose prolonged towards the pool tank with another Trim-Box piece (item 6550) where it is also possible, in case of need, to locate a profile that anchors either a plastic liner or any other types of non-ceramic coverings.
It is then possible to have private pools recovering water by overflow and in these cases the same systems proposed for public pools can be used for private pools, too.
The Finnish pool border is generally the preferred type. For private pools the edge piece can be without finger-grip and this can be replaced by a normal tile with rounded edge.
It is however necessary that edge pieces, being constantly immerged into water, are totally or partially of a contrasting colour thus to highlight the variation of depth.
